Mambo is a form of CMS or Content Management System. It is used to develop and design websites. Mambo is used to manage the content of websites be it simple or complex. Mambo uses the same programming language as Joomla does, PHP and also uses the same database called MySQL. Mambo also has lots of features and is quite acceptable to the users like web designers, web developers and general users. It is an award winning CMS and is widely supported by many users. Mambo is capable of creating a lot of pages ranging from one to thousand. The site which designs templates for the business purpose can also take the help of this Mambo CMS and create their site. This is useful as it also helps the non technical users to reuse the whole information across various applications which were otherwise only possible with the help of technical programmers. The job of this CMS is to manage a content starting from its creation to its publication. It is useful in all the stages of the use of an application and the creation of any site design. The content which is published in the web can be distributed to the business partners and the customers who are outside the company and are not people from inside the company just with the help of this CMS Mambo. To create professional website very quickly and in a mass Mambo is a good choice. It is also a very good choice for those people who are site developers and are new to this job of creating sites. Mambo features a comprehensive administrative manager and the specialty of Mambo is that there is no need for skills like XML, HTML, and DHTML and so on. Mambo uses a modular framework.

Mambo can be hosted on UNIX, Linux, Macintosh OS X servers as well as Windows. With Mambo it is only required to enter the content one wish to publish. Then a picture should be entered and then with the help of administrator web-interface the material can be published just by clicking publish. It is very easy to publish content through this method.

There are versions of Mambo. Few developers of Mambo came out from it and formed Joomla which was also a version of Mambo. These CMS also changes the problem of calling the IT professional for any kind of changes in the website.
