Joomla team has announced that development of Joomla 1.0 will be discontinued from July 2009. That is less than 9 months away. As it is, there isn't going to be any update to Joomla 1.0, unless there is a massive security flaw. How will this affect you ? Well, if you are totally happy with your current site, you can keep it the way it is forever. Need to move to latest platform - Joomla! 1.5?
