The developer of this software is Matt Mullenweg; he was the person behind this and was the main person who developed this software. The Word Press was suggested a person named Christine Selleck who was a friend of the developer of the software. Word Press was not there from the beginning but it succeeded b2/cafelog. It is the official successor of this software. This software was created by a person named Michel Valdrighi. B2/cafelog which was also sometimes called just b2 or just cafelog was at a time successful blog publishing software and in May 2003 it had employed as much as 2000 blogs. It was a great achievement for this site. Later on Word Press was founded by its developer who is also with it right now. B2 or cafelog was written with the same programming language and used the similar database which Word Press uses. The name Word Press software was first heard in the year 2003. In 2004 many developers from B2 or cafelog opted out and joined with the team of Word Press and the popularity of Word Press started rising from that time onwards. Another project which also succeeded from b2 or cafelog was called b2 evolution and it also had its own developers and had an active development.
